I don't suggest doing this unless you're 100% sure the system is low on refrigerant and that you're not going to overcharge the system, otherwise you risk damaging the compressor and possibly more. on passinge side in the engine compartment just a few inches in front of the firewall. It should be covered with some sort of little plastic frame. It also should say a certain type of coolant wraped around the hose.
