I have a check engine light (p1450). I have replaced my purge valve and checked all of my wires. I have also replaced my fuel cap and I know my charcoal canister is good
How long has your 2004 Ford Ranger had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! That P1450 code on your 2004 Ford Ranger means your EVAP system is struggling to maintain proper vacuum, even after you replaced the purge valve and fuel cap. Since you’ve already ruled out those usual suspects, it’s time to dig deeper. There may be a blockage or leak somewhere in the EVAP lines. Also, check the canister purge valve—it can get stuck and cause an excess vacuum. EVAP codes are like trying to catch a ghost, but a good smoke test might reveal where it's hiding. Don't forget, there's two purge valves, one on/near the canister and one in the engine bay.
