Hello, perhaps check the transmission range sensor for automatic transmission equipped vehicles, or clutch switch for manual transmission equipped vehicles to see if the starter can even get the signal to start. Other than that, start by checking the engine's battery to see if it is fully charged and able to sustain a load. Further starting and charging system testing would continue from there, if the other items yield no failures.
