What is your question?
This started last week, once as I slowed down to stop at a redlight. It cranked backup right away. Then yesterday it stalled 3 different times, once as I put in reverse to back out of a parking space, once as a I was pulling over to the side of the road, and then again as I as I decelerated to exit the Interstate onto the exit ramp. In each case it started back up without any hesitation. But the door locks did lock automatically when I started it back up, which is not normal. It seems to run fine except when slowing down or stopping. Gauges appear to be normal, no check engine light (until it dies) or any other appearance of a problem. (168000) miles. Had the fuel pump replaced in March 2021, no major problems with the vehicle other than driver side door electronics need some work.
How long has your 2003 Ford Ranger had this problem?
A week

Hello, it sounds more like a fuel / air ratio issue, causing fuel starvation due to excessive unmetered air to the intake manifold. But that's a total guess, indeed. Hands on inspection with diagnostic equipment by a well trained technician is needed. I don't get too excited about the doors locking - it's the body control module (GEM?) reacting to electrical power due to the stall and restart, most likely.
