ihave already put in 3 qts since my last oil change only 2000 miles ago. my truck doesn't smoke except once every four or five times i start up.

I know someone with your exact model with the same issue, it turned out to be a leak but could not be detected while on the floor because the oil was being sucked in by all the dirt under the car after doing a complete under carriage cleaning week found an oil pan leak and a head gasket beginning to leak... Hope this helps
