It keeps needing water and it not leaking where could the water be going

no visible leaks and doesn't steam off then it either going in the oil or in the cylinders any white smoke from the exaust or does the oil resemble choclate milk?

your losing hot vapor from slow leak so you can't see water on ground. Check engine when hot. with lights watch out for engine fan! HOSE from below cap or cap itself may not make good seal anymore. Good luck.
