Why is my 99 Ford Ranger making noise as I slow down and apply brakes?

This type of noise is usually caused by your tires or rotors being out of round. As you hear the noise you would notice the steering wheel moving if it is the front rotors. If its the tires it would be easiest to have a tire shop look at them. Just go into almost any corprate tire shop and the will tell you if theres anything wrong with your tires. All you really have to do is make it sound like your interested in purchasing tires and not purchase them after they look at them. Its eveil but why not have someone eles do the foot work. I say a corporate tire shop because they can afford to have this happen to them not the independant shop thats out to support their family.
