I plan on cleaning the throttle body. Is it necessary to completely remove the TB or can I clean the butterfly and plate without removing it?

This is Kevin with NWA Auto Shop. Without seeing the vehicle, I can only theorize. Based on the limited information given, these are my thoughts. A) That is up to you. Properly cleaning the throttle body would involve removing it to clean it thoroughly. Cleaning it partially, may or may not fix the issue you are trying to solve. Kevin
