My 93 ranger starts up fine running good then when I get in to reverse it won't move untill I hold down on the gas and same for drive then it drives fine but then when I come to a stop sign or red light it won't move again until I hold the gas and then the whole truck shakes and starts moving again fine what's the problem?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's better after I have to rev it up and give it some gas

Hello, it sounds like you are having some automatic transmission engagement problems.
