Truck will randomly shut off with no sign. Starts up fine. Drive it down the road a couple times and check engine light will come on then maybe a minute later the truck shuts off… will crank but no start. Wait a few seconds and it will start up….once and awhile when that happens truck won’t even crank it will click and I will lose all of my interior lights and electronics.. wiggle the battery cables a few times and it will start again

Hello, your concern shares a couple things that I would look at. First, the "check engine" light coming on while running indicates there is something that requires troubleshooting with engine performance. This will be important to address, but I am not sure it has to do with your stalling. If you are saying that wiggling the battery cables has an effect on interior lights and electronics, you must resolve these concerns first. Have the battery cables and battery evaluated to ensure all connections are secure and all cables have good integrity -- and the battery passes testing. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me
Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! What the heck? It sounds more like a haunting than a car problem! But don't worry, we're gonna bust this ghost! Wiggling the battery cable and affecting the lights indicate a poor connection or a failing battery. Check battery terminals for looseness and corrosion that may not be readily visible on the terminals but on the cable itself. Also, check the ground strap. A poor ground can cause all sorts of weirdness as well. However, if the problem persists, it could be a faulty ignition switch or starter solenoid. Consider having a professional diagnose it to avoid further complications. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
