How fast is the Ford Mustang?

What is your question?

My teenage son really wants a Mustang, but I'm a bit more hesitant because my first priority is safety. I want to make sure the Mustang doesn't go too fast. I have a feeling Mustangs are fast and therefore not a good choice for my 17 year old, but I thought I'd make sure here.

It depends on what year and version you get, but the superpowered 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 can top 200 mph. The 2017 Mustang GT can get up to 165 mph. So, yes, Mustangs are designed to be fast. If that is your top concern, you might want to look at another car for your teenager.
