Why does my car alarm sound when I leave my dog in the car?

Hello, I'm not sure whether you have an aftermarket installed alarm or not. The factory equipped anti theft system does not have any kind of motion detection or shock sensor. Many aftermarket alarms do, though. If you have an aftermarket alarm, you may want to reduce the shock sensor feature on it. This is the only thing I can think of. The only thing that will set off a factory alarm is if the door is opened from the inside or by force. I feel like you have an aftermarket alarm.
