my car was running just fine until yesterday. i replaced the starter 3 weeks ago. it was running fine and when i wanted to start it back up it wouldn’t start. i still get dashboard lights and headlights. it didn’t have a pool of oil while sitting but once i put it in neutral (to push it) it left a trail of oil (or i believe so) while in neutral and pushing only. it did not leak while parked.

Hello, the oil leaking while pushing may be incidental and related to pushing -- so recheck as time goes on and the vehicle runs ok.
As far as no start - does the engine crank when trying to start, or is the engine not cranking at all?
