Battery Light

If the battery light is flashing the alternator is not charging, it could be an intermittent fault in the alternator or bad connections somewhere. When the light comes on as a rule of thumb the voltage read across the battery should read 14.7 volts with the engine running if the alternator is OK. If the battery light is on get a friend to watch the instrument panel, hit the alternator with a hammer (not a huge hit, just moderate) if the light goes of the fault is in the alternator.
