It started a couple of days ago. My car turns over starts then immed.shuts off UNLESS i mash the throttle to keep it running. Every now and then I will hear a POP sound like as if excess fuel/air has purged. Then and only then does the car actually start-up and run just fine like nothing was ever wrong??????? WHAT IS KEEPING IT FROM RUNNING/IDLING ON IT'S OWN? AND WHAT IS THE POP B4 IT RUNS?
Mine did this too. Clean or replace the Idle Air Control valve. Very easy to do. Also clean the throttle body Also pretty easy. I had the same problem about a year ago, and since I did this, I have had no starting problems.
