What is your question?
Bought two fuel pumps and replaced them thinking the first new one was bad. Both ran for about ten minutes on idle. As soon as I gave it gas it died. Won't even prime. Replaced the relay switch and nothing. If I took it out again Im sure it would start after I put it back in. Why does this happen? We are at a total loss. Really ran great on idle. Now nothing at all not even the sound it makes when you previously start it. Thanks

These is no information as to why two fuel pumps were installed in the first place. Perhaps the two new pumps were affected from the same condition which caused them to be installed in the first place? Usually a fuel pump is replaced when it stops pumping, pumps at low pressure or volume, makes excessive noise, or works intermittently. There are probably two things that could stump a novice mechanic. One is the fuse link at the starter relay which supplies power to the fuel pump and the second is the inertia switch at the rear of the car and works in conjunction with the EEC IV engine control module. If either of these two items are not inspected and known to be good, either could cause fuel pump problems, even when a pump is known to be good.
