why does my starter and alternator keep failing with the autozone hand held test

for a 92 mustang 2.3 why does my starter and alternator keep failing with the new digital autozone hand held tester after being replaced but tests ok on the tester inside(alt shows volt reg failed starter shows not enough volts). i was having the same problem with just the voltage reg failing after replacement on the oem alt then i switched to the 3G alt and that problem went away for a while. i recently had a problem with the CCRM and changed it which i think might be the problem since its a reman from autozone. ccrm was changed because original would give out causing the fuel pump to not work. sometimes on a hot day it'll stall and the starter will against the flywheel when trying to start on the first try then starts up fine after pressing on the gas while turning the key

What makes this problem better or worse?
