The AAMCO quote came back to rebuild the transmission which includes $488.00

I would advice you to look around first. Not that i have any problem with AAMCO but i never paid more than 800$ for a AOD transmission at my neigborhood tranmission shop. They gave me 2 year warranty too . Our shop charged less then 300$ to remove and install.

What transmission are we talking about? Shop around because that's a little high and you never mentioned the warranty. We buy all our rebuilt transmissions from SMI and charge $108/hr to install.
