Just looking for a rough estimate on replacing two door handles, so I won't be going in blind

Given the age of the car, cost to install the door handles will depend on the condition of the door panels since both will have to be removed. Not that removing them is particularly difficult. If the panels are deteriorating from age as most are, time an effort will be involved in repairing them sufficiently to stay in place once reinstalled. If the door panels, push pins, weather shields are all in good condition, time to replace both door handles would fall between 60 and 90 minutes to replace both. Figure the cost on the shop hourly labor rates where you live. The handles are not particularly difficult to install. They are riveted in place and the rivets require installation with a "Big Daddy" rivet tool.
