I have a 4 barrol electric holley carb in my 1985 ford mustang when i installed it it would idle to high. the place where you hook up the pedle i would push it back and it would idle a little lower but when i let it go it would idle high again ive tried tunning it but it wont help also it only runs on 2 not 4 barrols please help and i would GREATLY appriciate it if someone told me how to install it and what hoses i need and what i dont need cause i might have just installed it wrong please help i hate my 1 barrol thanks.

It is idling too fast because the fast idle cam is on and you need an electric choke signal to heat up and thus slow down the fast idle speed. You need to wire an electric choke system, if there is not one already there. As for it running on only 2 barrels, that is normal for around town driving. The secondaries ( the other 2 barrels) should only kick in when you floor the gas pedal. As for the vacuum hoses there should be an under hood label that has a vacuum diagram for you, or go to the store where you purchased the carb, instructions should have come with the carb.
