What is your question?
Gasoline fumes when the vehicle is driving on the road and when it is stopped at an intersection and a stop sign and when the vehicle is running at an idle. There are no leaks at the fuel tank or fuel lines or engine. The Fusion doesn’t use a twist on fuel cap. Engine is a 1.5L FWD Automatic transmission.

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. The only place gasoline fumes can come from are the fuel system under the vehicle or under the hood. This would mean a fuel leak somewhere even if you do not see it now, or fuel vapor leak. Check all hoses in the evaporative emissions system under the vehicle and under the hood. Check for any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the engine's computer that may be related to the evaporative emissions system. You should also have your exhuast system checked; exhaust leaks may enter the cabin of the vehicle as well and can smell like fuel at times. I would suggest professional assistance for this from a shop near you just to make sure what is going on versus your symptoms. A fuel leak or fuel vapor leak is a fire hazard besides a heavy odor. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
