When I start my car and put it in Drive, everything feels normal\. But when I press the gas to accelerate, it makes a slightly louder noise and struggles until about **30–40 km/h**\. The RPM stays around **2,000–3,000**, and I have to press the accelerator more than usual\. Once it reaches **40–45 km/h**, it drives smoothly, the noise goes away, and the gas pedal feels normal with no loss of power\. There are **no warning lights** on the dashboard. So need to worry or its normal ?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Your automatic transmission should shift to keep engine power operating at its best level. If louder noise and high RPMs consistently match, you may be experiencing transmission slipping. This would be indicative of an internal transmission issue, mechanical.
