What is your question?
My 2015 Ford Fusion is throwing a P0012 Code and not starting. I’ve changed the VVT solenoids and a position sensor and trying to get the second but having a hard time. But are there any other places I should look? I’ve had a mechanic look at the timing belt and said it was fine but was going to charge me 1800 to look through the motor.
How long has your 2015 Ford Fusion had this problem?
A few weeks

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Replacing parts is not the best first choice - testing is best. What testing has been done to observe and monitor valve timing? Note that something as random as radio interference can cause an issue to set this code. I would not advise "looking through the motor" - I do not see value here. I would recommend a second opinion from another shop - reach out to a different shop near you. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
