What is your question?
A/C problem can't be diagnosed because I had outside shop install backup camera and new mirror on 2012 Ford Fusion. Mirror interferes with diagnostic tools that original mirror would allow. I still had original mirror, but they said it wouldn't work because the shop had messed up the original wiring by glueing to chassis. No charge by this Ford dealer for that advice. Shop that installed new camera system said never heard this in 30 years experience. A/C has been checked for freon leaks and replenished and a new compressor installed. Works OK for awhile, but next time blows warm air. Next time might be cold, but never know. I can live without the A/C, but 83 year old wife needs it. Thanks
What makes this problem better or worse?
No apparent pattern. Sometimes cold air, sometimes warm
How long has your 2012 Ford Fusion had this problem?
A few weeks, but all last summer also

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It sounds like something has tapped in to the data link wiring for power to that mirror, causing an issue with diagnostic testing with a diagnostic tool. However, air conditioning concerns often are not related to module-based direction. In other words, a diagnostic tool is like not needed for this concern. I definitely recommend restoring the wiring back to as new condition from the factory. Removal and repair of the wiring modifications will help get things back to normal. Hands on testing testing is needed for the air conditioning system, including the climate control system inside the car, as well as the refrigerant system under the hood. The folks that replaced the components thus far should be able to recheck their work. However, definitely reach out to a shop near you for help if you need a new opinion. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
