What is your question?
My temp gauge used to always be at the center of the gauge, but now it runs at the ¼ position, or slightly higher. Is this cause to be concerned?

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. It definitely has the potential to be problematic. If the sensor (or the source of the temperature data, it is common relay this information between multiple electronic control modules) is incorrect you would have no indication if your engine were to overheat. Which could lead to costly engine repairs, or in some cases the need to replace the engine. Most commonly the issue is simply the temperature sensor, but to confirm you would need to have it diagnosed for accuracy. If you have any questions, give us a call at (877) 913-1554
