I have a 2010 ford fusion sel 6 cylinder, and the power steering went out. It saying it's electric and I'm not sure what I need to replace. The pump I would assume, but I'm no mechanic. The message on the dash also says something about advantech something, along with the power steering. It was making a roaring noise before this happened. Any ideas?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Sitting still, I cant turn the wheel.

Hello, the power steering module, electric motor and steering gear are serviced as an assembly on this vehicle. Testing should be done to verify this is something that needs replaced, and be prepared for a large bill if so...probably $1,500 or more. 2010 Fusion's had both electric or hydraulic steering - so make sure first that it's electric. Testing will start here anyway!
