Hvac nob not working

What is your question?

The ac unit all work fine for hot and cold but I can not turn the dial for the speed of the fan up or down, it just spins back and forth and I think is stuck on 2.

How long has your 2010 Ford Fusion had this problem?

A few years but have moved to a colder climate and need the heater without having to push the max switch.
