What is your question?
Okay, so my a/c won't go below 60-64 F unless I let the car idle on the 1 setting. Then it slowly drops down to normal temps (40-46). & I don't necessarily have to be idling, I can be under a load, just not past the 1 setting until it gets down to the normal temp then I'm free to turn it up to 4 or whatever & the temp stays down. Also, I can tell that it affects my vehicles overall power quite noticeably if I just turn the car on, put it on 2, & take off. I hope someone can understand my breakdown. My best guess is the a/c clutch or perhaps (hopefully) a simple belt change could fix the problem. Let me know what you guys think.. any EDUCATED guesses, advice, suggestions are welcome. You don't understand how much I mean the word EDUCATED. As in, if you haven't experienced this particular problem or you're not a mechanic over age 45 then don't bother. Please.

Hello, it's not about someone here understanding, it's about someone who can inspect your vehicle hearing you and understanding and giving you diagnostic results that can provide information on what needs to be done. No belt change will repair this. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops I really think you need to talk to someone near you who can actually help. Theory doesn't matter without hands on inspections. If it was me, I'd check cooling fan operation, I'd check state of charge. I'd check cycle switch performance. I'd check temperature blend door operation inside the vehicle. Good luck.
