What is your question?
when I put the key in and turn it, it does nothing..When I shove the key in hard it will work, most of the time. sometimes I have to put the key in and try to start it several time for it to engage. I have been told it is possible that it is the ignition switch but also know there are several parts to the ignition switch that could cause the same problem.
What makes this problem better or worse?
when you jam the key in r turn it several times for it to work.
How long has your 2008 Ford Fusion had this problem?
has been going on for couple of months is just getting worse

Hello, is it that the key cylinder does not turn at all, or that it turns with no effect? If it won't turn at all, it's either a key cut issue, a shift lever interlock issue, or a key cylinder issue. If it turns but does not crank the engine, it could be an anti-theft system concern or a starting system concern, such has something wrong with the engine's battery or the starter motor or cables.
