What is your question?
I just recently took my car in to have the brakes replaced, and I was told that I need to replace one of my engine mounts because the rubber (I am assuming he was talking about the bushing) part of it was dried out and cracked. When I asked him if we couldn't just replace the bushing he said that it was all one part and that the whole mount has to be replaced. This seems very unlikely to me. Am I being scammed?

Engine mounts generally come as a complete assembly, I am pretty sure your 2006 Ford Fusion is no exception. Slight cracking of the rubber mounts is not unusual and may not be causing a problem yet. If there are no unusual vibrations or noises while driving or with the engine idling the mounts may be showing very early stages of wear and replacement may not be necessary right away.
