I am replacing the driver's side seat belt on a 2006 Ford Fusion. While removing the old one I busted the connector to the pretensioner so I can't tell which wire went where. Does this matter? In other words is the connection polarity sensitive? If so, how do I tell which wire goes to which pin?

Sorry to say, it's a no-no to try and repair wiring on a safety restraint component. It'll cause too much resistance and result in false deployment of the component's safety feature, or will set the air bag / restraint system warning light on. Replace the damaged component entirely.
