Check engine light will stay on but the gas gauge may go back up while driving or after I turn off engine and restart. Check engine light has been reset several times and they replaced sensors in the gas tank. After a reset I can drive 20-30 miles before comes back on.

more than likely the sender is bad/going bad.float/switch,located inside the fuel tank.may also be the gauge flaking out.scanner will determine which one is at fault.WON'T HURT TO DRIVE IT,THE PUMP IS STILL WORKING,JUST KEEP PLENTY OF FUEL IN THE TANK.what is the code for the check engine light?AZ,ADV,ORLY WILL READ CODES FOR FREE.POST CODE/CODES HERE.
