You don't need to disconnect the transmission mount.

Had the exact same question and need a couple years after I got her n I found a simple solution I didn't no until a older buddy showed me alittle trick undo the motor mount on that side after setting up a small floor jack under a safe solid area under right side of vehicle and use the jack to get u the extra inches u will need to get it in place just make sure u get it sealed properly all the way around b4 starting the installation of all the parts u had to pull to get that job done my seal just actually blew on me 5 years since I made that repair so I'm stuck replacing a water pump the is functioning fine because u have to pull it to fix the problem and after all that trouble it makes no sense to put the old one back cuz a month from now it might go out cuz there life spans are about that and it's about a 50 part so just replace and u shouldn't have deal with that again
