Just replaced the front wiper motor on my 2004 Ford Freestar and it quit again..

Replaced the wiper motor and it was working fine and now it has stopped working again, just a day after replacing it. Hoping that this problem did not short out this new motor? Wondering how hard it is to replace the windshield wiper motor connector? and it is something that a not so experienced person can do? The repair shop was trying to charge me $650 for all these repairs! Help!
