Will going from a 55 sidewall to a 70 cause scraping into the wheel well?

What is your question?

My tires are 215/55/16. The auto shop gave me 215/70/16. If I have people in my back seat or go over a speed bump the tire I got replaced makes a scraping sound.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Not having people in my back seat

Hello, this is a tire size that simply cannot be used on this vehicle for countless safety reasons, let alone scraping. Have the proper size tires installed right away before driving further.
