Hood release cable detached from latch

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Where is the cable detached? Is it under the dash or somewhere in line to the hood? The simplest answer - if the cable itself is still engaged at the latch, you'll need to find a way to locate a place where you can grab onto the cable itself with pliers so that it can be pulled. As I do not understand fully the condition of your hood release, it is impossible to share reasonable details on how to do this. I would recommend getting in touch with a shop near you to get some assistance.
