Hi Just posted about volvo s40 really fed up with cam belts , this new ford engine is cam & chain just wondering what if cam snaps in such engine will it cause similar damage as can only cars ?? Kindly replay Thanks

Timing chains will not break like a timing belt may as a result of lack of maintenance. Chains are intended to be installed for the useful life of the engine. To clarify, this vehicle does not have a 2.4L 5 cylinder engine as you have posted. The only engine choice was a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine (or an electric drive vehicle).
Thanks for replay Dear u r mixed up may be I was not clear Ford has twin cam WHAT if cam snaps what damage it will cause!! Thinking to buy ford! My volvo s40 D5 is leaking oil to exhaust will it be turbo !! Cam snapped at 40k so not trusting cam driven cars ! Kindly replay
Honestly: I've never seen a Ford cam chain "snap" - so - to me, I can't really speculate. And, I've seen a whole bunch of Focus vehicles...
