I have a Ford Focus 2012. It sat for a year because I didn't have time to get off brakes parts that were bad. I fixed the brakes and went to start it and nothing. Replaced the battery and then it would crank, but very slowly, like slow motion type of slow. I assumed the starter must have been bad, so I replaced it and I have the same results. Some symptoms I have had prior to is sitting was loss of acceleration and having to floor the pedal when on the highway to get up to speed.
