Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Focus. If your ABS light turns on and off and you're finding it hard to turn the steering wheel and press the brakes, there could be an issue with your power steering and ABS systems. The ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) light typically indicates a problem with the brake system, such as a malfunctioning sensor, bad ABS module, or issues with the wiring. However, since you're also experiencing difficulty steering, it might suggest a problem with the power steering system, which could be related to your electric steering assist. Both systems need proper battery voltage to operate, so the battery would be a good first check. Since these symptoms can affect your ability to drive safely, I strongly recommend having your Focus inspected as soon as possible to diagnose and repair the issue. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
