Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. What diagnostic testing was performed leading to the thought that shift solenoids needed to be replaced? The shift solenoids may exhibit trouble codes that have nothing to do with shift solenoid failures, but instead of internal transmission hydraulic concerns within the valve body, or with the clutches themselves. As a result, it sounds like repairs were attempted in areas that won't actually influence any positive repairs. Testing with a Ford IDS test computer (or similar) will be able to monitor shift solenoid operation and actively command operations as desired, with the ability to determine if there's an internal hydraulic issue actually causing the concern. I'd recommend a shop near you that can dig in and figure out what's going on. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
