Engine revs without increasing speed. Sometimes the car shakes slightly before moving. Check engine just started to come on now when all this happens. One time, the engine went off while driving. But it always goes away until ive driven about 20 hwy miles again. However, tonight, i drove it 20 mi to destination and 20 back with no problems...
When this first started to happen, took it to an auto shop said I thought it was misfiring. They said i had i needed to replace a valve cover, spark plugs, and motor mount. All that didnt help. Next mechanic said computer recommended to replace transmission. But they suggested i do a fluid change first. And that didnt help either. They didnt mention anything about a solenoid but a friend brought it up. I dont know what to do at this point though. Im almost 1000$ invested already... not sure how i could sell it and wouldnt dare try to sell this to someone without being honest. Thanks in advance. Bless
