Hello, too hard to tell until performing testing. Check for any vacuum hose leaks connection issues. A diagnostic tool must be used to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) set in the processor that can give clues as to what the problem is.
2008 Ford Focus OEM battery was a calcium battery & had a unique alternator. The alternator produces higher volts (15.8 volts) that only the calcium battery can handle. A lead / acid battery can't take the higher volts, it will eventually boil all the water out of the battery. All sensors work off ohms. Lead / acid battery won't produce volts needed. The battery does more than just start your car. It provides power to all your systems too. In other words, BAD DATA IN (TO COMPUTER) SENDS BAD DATA OUT!!! The unique alternator, I believe cuts back a certain RPM that's why the battery voltage is important.
