brake pedal goes slowly down when aproching stop, but not all the way to the floor. after stop I can pump the pedal and it will stay up.

A brake pedal that goes down slowly and can be pumped up always sounds like a master cylinder issue. However, you could also have air in the lines, if you have had recent brake repairs. Or, some sort of leak may be present.
