What is your question?
2005 Ford Focus Wagon. Drivers window works sporadically It has not worked proper since we started driving it. Then on warmer days it would work one time. Or so we thought. Summer time and its still not working only one time a day. Replaced motor, switch, checked fuse and looking at relay. But its 100 bucks. Before i buy that is there anything else I should check. I put a new 5 plug regular relay on to see if it worked but it would only go down not up. So im not sure if the specific relay for this car is special or the relay is not the problem. I mean its got the case cover on it but is it different inside? Is that why replacement relay i had in garage didn't fix it ? It was just a relay 12 v 30, 40 amp. Im at a stand stil on this no ac so really need window to work. I could not find an amp on fords replacement relay. Any other things to try.
What makes this problem better or worse?
cold wont work at all. but only works one time one way. when it wants to
How long has your 2005 Ford Focus had this problem?
several months since we started driving it

Hello, first - do not put an incorrect relay in - always obtain the correct part. Second, what circuit testing is being performed while the problem is occurring? You'll find success will be much quicker when you take the time to learn about he circuit and what is then not working properly. I won't be able to offer you any guesses, just that the master switch controls all, and you have wiring going through the door at the hinge area. Try holding your switch down & open up the door, the wire that goes by the door hinge easily gets shorted out when you wiggle the door in and out it could fix the problem not fix it but you least you'll find it
