I cant get my gear shift outta park was told its the safty switch and would like to know how to replace this myself thanks for all your input again guys!
Sounds more like a brake light switch problem. This is what lets your shift interlock know that you have your foot on the brake to release the shifter. Check that switch on the brake pedal, along with the wiring connector that plugs into it.
