I’m trying to replace inner tire rods and there is no hex on the inner tire rod

The inner tie rod end of this vehicle must be removed after the steering gear itself is removed. You may have to support the gear vertically in a vice, removing the bellows boot, and use a pipe wrench to remove the inner tie rod end, which is under extreme tension. For my money, time and effort, I would probably just obtain a remanufactured gear if it was found that this component needed replaced -- and replace that.
