Hello, If the spark plugs were wet, the ignition coil boots are wet internally as well. You will need to wait until everything is dry, or attempt to dry everything out by hand. The new spark plugs need dielectric grease between the plugs and coil boots to ensure good conductivity. Also, any water around the coil boots can cause discharge to the engine, especially if the boots are worn.
