Engine Light On, stuttering/jerking when driving, slow to no acceleration at times

already replaced coil (125.00) and plugs due to bad coil, old coil had very weak spark on tower 3. . Ran ok for a while, now I get a P0300 mul cyl misfire code along with a pending code P0303 cyl 3 misfire (thgis onew did not show on code reader software). I cleared the P0300 code and chk eng light is now off. Is there a problem that causes the coil to destroy itself?
