I purchased my daughter a 2001 Ford Focus. The problem is that both doors are locked. If they remain unlocked my daughter can open the car normal. However, if she locks both doors, she can't get back in, not even with the key. What could the problem be. I have heard that the car might have come with a remote. Does anyone out there own one of these cars and can tell me.

i dont own one of those cars but fixed that problem once with pb blaster.just spray it in the key slot and it might just loosen the tumblers enough to allow her to unlock the doors using the key.
Same thing has happened to me. I had to climb in the hatch. I could hear the doors unlocking with the key, but it wouldn't unlock the door????????
