Thanks so much for your quick response. I did wonder if one of those wires was the problem. I am reading the answers on here to similar questions...I want to do what I can to get the problem solved

Got a very strange look @ auto zone when they said auto parts stores in general have not done these scans for about 6 years due to state regulations. But while I was there I did get spark plug wires. Small update on engine light which finally shut off for first time since plugs were installed 3 weeks ago... off on start up after yesterday being parked for a week but then today it blinked a couple of minutes before it shut off, the blinking was new. Any input is appreciated TY
Must be a CA regulation. They run the scans on east coast and midwest autozones. Have to wait to see if light comes on. Sometimes they blink as they reset but, it usually means an issue still persists. Hopefully, it was just a reset. I still think you can get the read in CA for free as well.
Light has stayed on for 2 days now. Last night after driving for a few minutes and accelerating from stop light it lurched forward and nearly stalled in the intersection
Need to get that engine code read....will probably have the answer. It is probably a misfire condition. Need to find out which cylinder. Call any parts store in your area and see if they will do the read for you.
